Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer confirmed through a tissue or cell sample analysis
- People whose colorectal cancer cannot be surgically removed or has come back, and whose cancer has stopped responding to standard treatments or who cannot tolerate those treatments
- People whose cancer can be measured on scans according to standard research guidelines (called RECIST 1.1)
- People who are able to swallow and take capsules by mouth
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have serious ongoing health conditions affecting the digestive system, liver, muscles or bones, lungs, brain, heart or blood vessels, blood, other cancers, hormonal system, immune system, mental health, nervous system, or urinary and reproductive system — or any condition that the trial doctors judge could affect safety or results (confirm with trial site)
- People who have a history of a lung disease called interstitial lung disease (a condition causing scarring or inflammation in the lungs)
- People who have ongoing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea that could make it difficult to take the trial medicine by mouth
- People who have a blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism) or a serious blood clot in a major vein near the centre of the body
- People who are currently taking certain strong medications that significantly affect how the body processes a group of drugs (known as strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers — confirm with trial site which medications these include)
- People who have been diagnosed and treated for osteoporosis, or whose bone density scan results fall below a certain threshold (a T-score lower than -2.5)
- People who have significant cancer spread to bones in weight-bearing areas, such as the leg bones, spine, or other bones that carry body weight
