Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who have previously received any ALK-blocking treatment (ALK inhibitor drugs) or any radiotherapy to the chest area.
- People who currently have an active infection, whether bacterial, fungal, or viral.
- People who have serious or poorly controlled health conditions that, in the treating doctor's view, would make participation unsafe or make it hard to follow the study rules.
- People whose blood test results show that bone marrow function or organ function is not adequate, including: white blood cell levels that are too low; platelet counts that are too low; haemoglobin (a measure of red blood cells) that is too low; liver enzyme levels that are too high; bilirubin (a liver-related substance) levels that are too high; or kidney function that is too low.
- People who have a history of a lung condition called interstitial lung disease (ILD), or who currently have ILD or pneumonia.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding; and people of childbearing potential, or fertile male participants, who are unwilling or unable to use a highly effective form of contraception throughout the study and for a set period after the last dose of the study drug (at least 97 days for males and 35 days for females).
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial involving an experimental drug within the 2 weeks before joining this study, or who plan to do so during this study.
- People where the treating doctor believes participation would not be appropriate, such as if the person is unlikely to be able to follow the study's procedures and requirements.
