• You have a history of liver disease and high blood pressure in the liver's blood vessels, or suspected liver scarring (cirrhosis), and need a specific pressure measurement procedure called HVPG.

Who may not be able to join:

• You are currently pregnant.

• You have previously had a procedure called TIPS (a shunt placed in the liver) or a surgical shunt to redirect blood flow.

• You have a blood clot in your portal vein or another suspected cause of liver pressure problems originating outside the liver itself (confirm with trial site).
• You have cancer outside the liver, a terminal illness, or serious health conditions that significantly limit your life expectancy or ability to participate in the study.
• You have narrowing or surgical changes to your digestive tract that would prevent a specialist camera (echoendoscope) from being passed through safely.
