Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 80 years old.
- People who are already enrolled in a related study called "Anxiety and surgery satisfaction for cataract patient with different state anxiety" (Ethics Case No.: 202302067MINB).
- People who are planning to have cataract surgery (using a technique called phacoemulsification with lens implant) on their second eye, using eye-drop anaesthesia, at the Ophthalmology Department.

Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom surgery of any kind is considered unsafe or not recommended.
- People for whom any relevant medication is considered unsafe or not recommended.
- People who are unable to answer questionnaires clearly and completely, or who report no anxiety before the operation, or who score below 21 on a standard anxiety assessment tool called the STAI-S or STAI-T (confirm with trial site).
- People who regularly use anti-anxiety medicines, sleeping pills, or pain relief medications before the procedure.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding at the time before surgery.
- People who have serious eye conditions such as severe corneal disease, a very advanced cataract, very small pupils, or a dislocated lens that would make standard surgery more difficult.
- People who are unable to fully cooperate during surgery performed under eye-drop anaesthesia.
- People who are pregnant or possibly pregnant — the research team will verbally ask women under the age of 55 about this.
