Who may be able to join

- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- People who have a known allergy or intolerance to mesalamine (5-ASA) or similar medicines.
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial that may interfere with this study.
- People who are unable to give informed consent or who are unlikely to be able to follow the study protocol and visit schedule.
- People who have previously not responded to, or could not tolerate, their current biologic or immunosuppressant treatment.
- People who have a history of severe psychiatric conditions that may affect their ability to take part in the study.
