Who may not be able to join:
- Your kidneys are working at a very low level (specifically, your creatinine clearance is below 15 mL/min — confirm with trial site if unsure what this means for you)
- You have a moderate to severe narrowing of one of your heart valves called the mitral valve
- You have previously had your mitral heart valve repaired or replaced
- You have a significant history of problems with alcohol or drug misuse
- The trial doctor has decided, for legal or psychological reasons, that the trial may not be appropriate for you
- You have taken part in another clinical trial involving an experimental drug in the last 4 weeks before being assessed for this trial
- You are unwilling or decline to sign the consent form to take part in this study
