Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 19 years old or older and have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat condition)
• You have at least one of the following health conditions: heart failure, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease (blocked arteries in the heart), peripheral arterial disease (blocked arteries in the legs or arms), diabetes, a history of stroke, or another heart condition that requires treatment
• You are currently taking, or are planning to start taking, a blood-thinning medication called apixaban (taken by mouth)
• You are able to use a smartphone that runs on the Android operating system
• You are willing and able to sign a consent form after being fully informed about the trial's purpose, steps, and possible risks

Who may not be able to join:

• Your kidneys are working at a very low level (specifically, your creatinine clearance is below 15 mL/min — confirm with trial site if unsure what this means for you)
• You have a moderate to severe narrowing of one of your heart valves called the mitral valve
• You have previously had your mitral heart valve repaired or replaced
• You have a significant history of problems with alcohol or drug misuse
• The trial doctor has decided, for legal or psychological reasons, that the trial may not be appropriate for you
• You have taken part in another clinical trial involving an experimental drug in the last 4 weeks before being assessed for this trial
• You are unwilling or decline to sign the consent form to take part in this study
