Who may not be able to join:

• You currently have a problem with alcohol or drug misuse or dependence
• You have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, bipolar disorder, manic or hypomanic episodes, schizophrenia, personality disorder, PTSD, intellectual disability, Parkinson's disease, or other brain or mental health conditions caused by a physical illness (confirm with trial site)
• You need urgent mental health care right now, or you have attempted suicide in the past 3 months
• You are currently taking antipsychotic, antidepressant, or sedative medications, unless you have been on the same stable dose for at least the past 4 weeks
• You have a history of severe organ failure or kidney failure requiring dialysis, or you have HIV
• You have had or are currently being treated for cancer within the past 5 years
• You have had major surgery on your digestive system in the past 5 years (removal of the gallbladder or appendix is generally acceptable — confirm with trial site)
• You currently work night shifts
• You have taken antibiotics within the past 4 weeks
• You have had a severe allergic reaction to probiotics or lactose in the past
• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
