Who might be able to join this trial:
For healthy participants:
- Adults of any sex, between 50 and 80 years old
- A score of 24 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)
- Normal sense of smell based on a specific smell test, with acceptable scores varying by age group (confirm with trial site)

- No movement or physical difficulties in the arms, legs, pelvis, or spine caused by injury or other conditions

For people with Parkinson's disease:
- Adults of any sex, between 50 and 80 years old
- A score of 24 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)
- Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, either with no movement complications, or with only mild fluctuations in symptoms during the day — and assessed during a period when symptoms are well-controlled and no involuntary movements are present
- Parkinson's disease at a mild to moderate stage (Hoehn and Yahr stage 1, 2, or 3) (confirm with trial site)
- No movement or physical difficulties in the arms, legs, pelvis, or spine caused by injury or other conditions
- Willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
For healthy participants:
- Anyone who does not agree to sign the consent form
- Anyone whose smell test results indicate a reduced sense of smell, based on age-specific cut-off scores (confirm with trial site)
- Anyone weighing more than 120 kg (approximately 265 lbs)
- Anyone who is unable to cooperate sufficiently with the study requirements
- Anyone with an active cancer diagnosis, or who has had cancer with less than 6 years of clear follow-up
- Anyone with stiff joints in the arms or legs that would prevent them from doing movements properly
- Anyone with muscle weakness or paralysis in the arms or legs due to nerve damage
- Anyone with a nerve condition affecting sensation or movement in multiple parts of the body
- Anyone with a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the joints of the arms or legs
- Anyone currently experiencing severe dizziness or balance problems
- Anyone with a neurodegenerative disease
- Anyone currently with a fever
- Anyone with a blood clot in a vein (venous thrombosis)
- Anyone with heart or blood vessel problems, or other ongoing conditions that could affect their ability to do physical exercises safely
- Anyone with back or joint pain that could interfere with doing physical exercises
- Anyone with a history of recurring neck, arm, lower back, or leg nerve pain
For people with Parkinson's disease:
- Anyone who does not agree to sign the consent form
- Anyone with Parkinson's disease at an advanced stage (Hoehn and Yahr stage 4 or 5) (confirm with trial site)
- Anyone who needs a cane, walker, or another person's help in order to walk
- Anyone weighing more than 120 kg (approximately 265 lbs)
- Anyone who is unable to cooperate sufficiently with the study requirements
- Anyone with an active cancer diagnosis, or who has had cancer with less than 6 years of clear follow-up
- Anyone with stiff joints in the arms or legs that would prevent them from doing movements properly
