Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (based on international standards and the doctor's judgment — blood tests for C-peptide or antibodies are not required)

- People who are willing to wear the study devices

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have type 2 diabetes or a form of diabetes called MODY diabetes
- People who have any untreated health conditions related to their type 1 diabetes
- People taking medications that affect blood sugar control or that could interfere with the accuracy of a blood marker called HbA1c
- People who are pregnant
- People who have untreated diabetic eye disease, or any other condition that the investigator believes would make participation unsafe
- People with a known or suspected allergy to insulin
- People who regularly use acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol)
- People who do not have reliable telephone access for contact
- People who live alone
- People with severe vision or hearing impairment
- People who have a documented allergy to the adhesive used in plasters or bandages, or who cannot tolerate the tape used to hold a glucose sensor in place
- People who have serious skin problems on the areas of the body where the glucose sensor would be inserted
- People who use illicit (illegal) drugs
- People who have issues with alcohol use
- People who have sickle cell disease, a blood condition affecting haemoglobin, or who have received a red blood cell transfusion or a medication called erythropoietin within the 3 months before enrolling
- People with an eating disorder, including anorexia or bulimia
- People with an allergy to milk protein
