Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 50 years of age
- People with no stomach or digestive symptoms
- People who have not had any surgery on the stomach, intestines, chest, or spine in the past
- People who are not taking any medications
- People who have not consumed any alcohol in the past month
- Non-smokers
- People with a normal BMI, between 18.5 and 22.9
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with a systemic or organ-specific disease, including liver, kidney, or heart disease, neurological conditions, diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, connective tissue disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, or irritable bowel syndrome
- People who experience acid reflux (heartburn) symptoms or persistent indigestion
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who have a Helicobacter pylori infection (a type of bacterial stomach infection)
