Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with primary breast cancer, confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue samples
- People aged between 18 and 80 years old
- People who have no previous history of any other type of cancer, only breast cancer
- People who are aware of their own breast cancer diagnosis
- People who have a general health and ability to function score above 70 on a standard medical scale (meaning they are reasonably able to carry out daily activities)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with a mental health condition, either before or after their breast cancer diagnosis
- People with serious long-term physical health conditions, such as nervous system disorders, severe head injuries, substance use disorders, intellectual disability, diabetes, gynaecological diseases, heart or blood vessel conditions, or thyroid problems
- People who have been diagnosed with two or more separate primary cancers from different parts of the body
- People whose breast cancer has spread to the brain or central nervous system
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with a digestive system condition, such as inflammation of the intestines or stomach
- People who are using antidepressant or anti-anxiety medications during the study period
- People who are taking any medications that affect how the gut works or processes substances during the study period
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have had radiotherapy or chemotherapy within the past 21 days before joining
- People who have used antibiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, or synbiotics (supplements that combine these) within the 3 months before the study begins
- People considered unsuitable for any other reason, as determined by the trial investigators
