Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who have either newly diagnosed or uncontrolled high blood pressure (with specific blood pressure readings recorded at a screening appointment), as defined by 2018 European heart guidelines.
- People with high blood pressure — with or without other heart or blood vessel conditions (such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, peripheral artery disease, stroke-related conditions, irregular heart rhythms, or valve problems) — who have recently been prescribed or are already taking a medication called Nebilet, as long as they have been taking it for no more than 2 weeks at the time of screening.
- People with high blood pressure who are willing to give their consent to take part in the study.
- Women of childbearing age who are willing to use a reliable method of contraception during the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a serious heart or blood vessel event (such as a heart attack or stroke) within the last 3 months.
- People with severe heart failure classified as the most serious category (Class IV) under a standard medical grading system (confirm with trial site).
- People for whom Nebilet is not considered medically appropriate, or where the treating doctor believes participation could be unsafe or interfere with the ability to complete the study.
