For people with Parkinson's disease:

  • People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease according to recognised medical criteria, with a disease stage rated between I and IV on a standard scale (measured while on their usual Parkinson's medication)
  • People who are willing to take part on a voluntary basis

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with significant and severe cognitive decline or intellectual disability that is not caused by Parkinson's disease
  • People with certain neurological or neurodevelopmental conditions, such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, stroke, muscular dystrophy, moderate to severe developmental delay, or spinal cord injury
  • People with a fever of 38.0°C or above at the time of assessment
  • People with an active illness such as flu or COVID-19 that could affect their ability to participate and impact study results
  • People currently being treated with antibiotics or antiviral medications for ongoing infections such as Hepatitis C, HIV, or tuberculosis
  • People with a life-threatening illness that could mean they are unable to complete the study
  • People with any other neurological or health conditions that could affect the study results
