Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Your child is between 8 and 17.5 years old.
  • Your child has been diagnosed with one of these anxiety disorders as their main concern: social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, separation anxiety disorder, specific phobia, or agoraphobia.
  • There is a parent or caregiver available who can support the child throughout the treatment.
  • Both the child and at least one caregiver can read, write, and communicate in Swedish.
  • The child (if 13 or older) and a caregiver have access to a Swedish digital ID system called BankID or Freja eID.
  • The child and/or caregiver have access to the internet.
  • The child is able to attend in-person therapy sessions at the clinic.

Who may not be able to join:

  • The child's main anxiety disorder is a specific phobia related to blood, needles, or injuries (confirm with trial site).
  • The child is currently receiving any psychological treatment for an anxiety disorder.
  • The child has social, family, or school difficulties that are considered more urgent to address than the anxiety disorder.
  • The child is at immediate risk of harming themselves or others, such as having thoughts of suicide.
  • The child has a relative, such as a sibling or cousin, who is already taking part in this study.
