Who may be able to join
- Patients must be willing and able to sign the informed consent form agreeing to take part in the study.
- Patients must be aged 18 years or older.
- Patients must have a confirmed diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer) through a needle biopsy sample, at a stage classified as IB through IIIA, confirmed by scans, and must not have received any prior cancer treatment for this condition.
- Patients must have a physical fitness score of 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale (meaning fully active or able to carry out light work), as assessed by the treating doctor.
- Patients must have a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks, as determined by the treating doctor.
- Patients must have at least one measurable area of cancer visible on scans, assessed according to a standard measurement guideline.
- Patients must have good function of major organs such as the liver, kidneys, and blood system.
- Patients must have lung function strong enough to tolerate surgery, as assessed by the treating doctor.
- Patients must not have cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
- Women of childbearing potential must agree to use effective contraception throughout the study and for at least 120 days after completing chemotherapy or the last dose of the study drug (whichever comes later), and must have a negative pregnancy test within 7 days before joining.
- Men who have not had a sterilisation procedure must agree to use effective contraception throughout the study and for at least 120 days after completing chemotherapy or the last dose of the study drug (whichever comes later).
Who may not be able to join

- Patients whose cancer has features of a type called small cell, or who have already received any cancer treatments (including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or experimental treatments) for a type of cancer called thymic epithelial tumour.
- Patients who have any unstable or serious ongoing health conditions, such as active infection, uncontrolled high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), heart failure, a heart attack in the past 6 months, serious irregular heartbeat, or significant liver, kidney, or metabolic disease.
- Patients who have an active or suspected autoimmune disease, or a condition linked to cancer that affects the immune system and requires ongoing treatment.
- Patients who have a known allergy to the study drug or any of its ingredients.
- Patients who currently have interstitial lung disease (a condition causing scarring or inflammation in the lungs).
- Patients with active hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV infection.
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
- Patients who have neurological or mental health conditions that would prevent them from cooperating with the study.
- Patients who are currently taking part in another therapeutic clinical trial.
- Patients who, in the opinion of the research team, are not suitable for the trial for any other reason (confirm with trial site).
