Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) based on established international criteria, are at any stage of the disease, and are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) based on established international criteria and are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) based on established international criteria and are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Vascular Parkinsonism (VP) — a form of Parkinsonism caused by problems with blood flow to the brain — and are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have Parkinsonism caused by a medication you were taking, your symptoms appeared after starting that medication, and your symptoms improved or went away when the medication was reduced or stopped, with no other known cause — and you are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) based on established criteria and are between 50 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), also have Parkinsonism symptoms, and are between 50 and 75 years old
- All groups: you are willing to have study-related tests and assessments done, and you are able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- All groups: there is no restriction on gender
Who may not be able to join:
- You have memory or thinking difficulties that are severe enough to affect your ability to take part in the study (a standard memory test score below 23)
- You are unable to tolerate a specific test involving a medication called levodopa (confirm with trial site)
- You have serious problems with major organs such as your heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys, or you have a serious or unstable medical condition, including cancer
- You have serious behavioural problems or a significant mental health condition
- You are unable to sign the consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- The trial doctors decide for any other reason that the study would not be appropriate for you
