Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
- People who have a high-risk early-stage rectal cancer (called pT1 rectal adenocarcinoma) that has already been removed by an endoscopic procedure

Who may not be able to join:
- People with certain stages of rectal cancer (classified as cT2-4 any NM0) who have not achieved a complete or major response after completing either the experimental or standard chemotherapy and radiation treatment
- People who are pregnant
