Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy (damage to the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord) based on both a physical examination and nerve testing, and the condition has been present for at least 6 months.
• People who have nerve pain that is clearly linked to their neuropathy, confirmed by scoring 4 or more out of 10 on a specific nerve pain questionnaire called the DN4.
• People whose average daily ongoing pain rates 4 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10.
• People aged between 18 and 80 years old.
• People who are enrolled in the French social security system.
• People who are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have another neurological condition (such as a neurodegenerative disease, migraines, epilepsy, stroke, or a brain tumour) or a psychiatric illness.
• People for whom the trial's brain stimulation procedure (called TMS) would be unsafe — for example, those who have metal implants inside their skull.
• People who have epilepsy that is active or has not been controlled by treatment.
