Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are between 18 and 65 years old
- People who are willing to take part in the study voluntarily
- People who have been diagnosed with mild or moderate carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) of unknown cause, confirmed through medical history, physical examination, and a nerve conduction test
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a condition known to cause carpal tunnel syndrome, such as diabetes, chronic kidney or liver disease, a growth hormone disorder (acromegaly), rheumatological diseases, recent injury, or an underactive thyroid, among others
- People who have been diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel syndrome
- People who have previously had surgery on or a significant injury to the wrist
- People who have muscle wasting or weakness in the fleshy area at the base of the thumb
- People who have certain nerve or nerve-related conditions affecting the neck, shoulder, or arm, such as cervical radiculopathy, thoracic outlet syndrome, or other nerve disorders in the arm or hand
- People who have had steroid injections in the last 3 months or who are currently taking steroid tablets by mouth
- People who are pregnant
- People who have an open wound or skin rash around the wrist that would prevent treatment from being applied
- People who are currently receiving, or are planning to receive, any other treatment for their carpal tunnel syndrome at the same time
- People who have certain structural differences or conditions in the wrist, such as a variation in the median nerve, a persistent artery, a cyst, or inflammation of the tendons (confirm with trial site)
