- People who have had major surgery on their digestive system (stomach, intestines, bowel) in the past.
- People who have used antibiotics, or who have had diarrhoea or vomiting, in the past 30 days.
- People who have used steroid medication given through a drip or injection (intravenous corticosteroids) within 2 weeks before or during the screening period, or at any point during the study.

- People who are currently taking probiotic, prebiotic, synbiotic, or postbiotic supplements — though the trial site may allow participation if these products have been stopped for at least 30 days beforehand. (Note: probiotic use in this context means consuming 100 million or more live bacterial units per day, through tablets, capsules, lozenges, powders, or dairy products where probiotics are a main ingredient — confirm details with trial site.)
- People who regularly eat more than 2 servings per day of yogurt, kefir, kombucha, or other fermented foods that may affect gut bacteria.

- People who have a history of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) or known allergies to probiotics or postbiotics.
- People whose behaviour or health conditions may make it difficult for them to follow the study procedures reliably.

Trial details
This date has passed while the registry still lists the trial as open to participants. Sponsors often update a trial's status without revising its projected end date, so it may well still be recruiting — but the record is out of date in at least one respect. Check with the study contact before relying on either.
