Who may be able to join
- People who have signed a consent form and are willing to follow the study procedures.
- People aged 18 years or older.
- People with an estimated life expectancy of at least 3 months.

- Platelet count of at least 100 × 10⁹/L
- Haemoglobin (red blood cell measure) of at least 90 g/L, without a blood transfusion in the past 14 days
- Kidney function within an acceptable range, based on a blood test or urine measurement
- Liver enzyme levels within acceptable limits, with slightly higher limits allowed if cancer has spread to the liver
- Bilirubin (a liver-related substance) within acceptable limits, with an exception for people with a condition called Gilbert's syndrome
- Thyroid hormone levels within 10% of the normal range
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who have previously received chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or radiotherapy.
- People whose tissue or cell samples show a different type of lung cancer, such as non-small cell lung cancer or a mixed type.
- People who have brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain) causing symptoms, or cancer spreading along the lining of the brain or spinal cord.
- People with an active or suspected autoimmune disease (where the immune system attacks the body), except for certain stable or manageable conditions such as vitiligo, type 1 diabetes, or hypothyroidism managed only with hormone replacement.
- People with a current or past active tuberculosis (TB) infection, including those who were treated for TB within the past year.
- People who need to take corticosteroids or other medicines that suppress the immune system on an ongoing basis.
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- People who have significant lung disease involving inflammation of lung tissue, or suspected lung damage caused by medication.
- People who test positive for HIV, or who have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infections (as determined by specific blood test results).
- People with a significant history of neurological or psychiatric conditions, such as dementia, depression, epilepsy, or bipolar disorder.
- People who have taken part in another clinical drug trial within 4 weeks before being enrolled in this study.
- People who have used anti-tumour traditional Chinese medicine within 2 weeks before the first study treatment.
- People who have had another type of cancer within the past 2 years, except for certain skin cancers or early-stage cancers that have been fully treated and cured.
- People with serious heart or blood vessel conditions, such as significant heart failure, a heart attack, or a stroke within the past 6 months.
- People who have had a blood clot in a vein or artery (such as a deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism) within the past 6 months, unless it was related to a catheter.
- People who have received a live vaccine within 28 days before enrolment, or who plan to receive one during the study.
- People who have had major surgery or a serious physical injury within 4 weeks before starting treatment.
- People with conditions that may interfere with the body absorbing the study drug, such as severe vomiting, a blockage in the digestive system, or active bleeding or a perforation in the digestive tract.
- People with an active infection (bacterial, viral, or fungal) that is not controlled despite treatment.
- People who are known to have an allergy or sensitivity to any of the study drugs or their ingredients.
- People whom the treating doctor considers unsuitable for the study due to safety or other concerns.
