- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer at stage I, II, or III
- You are planned to receive 4 cycles of a type of chemotherapy called taxane, and you have not taken any nerve-stabilizing medications in the past three months

- You have nerve pain or damage caused by diabetes, HIV infection, or any other condition unrelated to chemotherapy
