Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are pregnant with a single baby (not twins or more).
  • People who are between 24 weeks and 29 weeks and 6 days pregnant at the time of joining the trial.
  • People who have been diagnosed with severe early-onset pre-eclampsia (a serious pregnancy complication involving high blood pressure) where the treating doctors have determined that immediate delivery is not yet necessary.

  • People who are already taking pravastatin or any other statin medication at the time of joining the trial.
  • People who have lactose intolerance.
