Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years old or older
• You can read, write, and speak English confidently
• You live in the United Kingdom and are registered with a GP
• You have basic computer skills (such as browsing the internet or sending emails)
• You have an email address that can be used to register with an app called Orbi
• You have a long-term physical health condition (a condition that has lasted or is expected to last a long time)
• You are experiencing emotional distress or struggling mentally because of your long-term physical condition

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a dependency on alcohol or drugs, significant memory or thinking difficulties, or a severe mental health condition — assessed using standard screening questions used in NHS talking therapy services (confirm with trial site)
• You score above a certain level on a short questionnaire measuring depression and anxiety (called the PHQ-4), or you have indicated any thoughts of self-harm or suicide on a related questionnaire (called the PHQ-9) (confirm with trial site)
• You are currently receiving any form of talking therapy or psychological treatment, whether in person or online, from a psychologist, counsellor, or therapist
