Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between the ages of 35 and 65 who have been diagnosed with postherpetic neuralgia (a nerve pain condition that can follow a shingles infection).
- People who have had ongoing pain for at least 3 months after a shingles infection.
- People who have read, understood, and signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant.

- People who have previously been diagnosed with a neurological or psychiatric condition.
- People with a history of addiction or substance abuse.
- People with a history of head or brain trauma, or who have had brain surgery.

- People who are prone to headaches or seizures.
- People with severe cognitive impairment (serious difficulties with memory, thinking, or understanding).
- People who have other chronic (long-term) pain conditions in addition to their shingles-related pain.
