Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm), confirmed by a heart tracing test, a portable heart monitor, or an implanted heart device
- People whose doctor has determined that a procedure to correct the irregular heart rhythm (called ablation) is an appropriate treatment option for them, based on current medical guidelines
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had an ablation procedure or surgery on the left side of their heart
- People who have a blood clot inside their heart
- People who have had persistent atrial fibrillation (continuously irregular heart rhythm) for more than 3 years
- People who have serious problems with one of their heart valves (specifically, severe leaking or moderate-to-severe narrowing of the mitral valve)
- People who are pregnant — all women under the age of 50 will have a blood test to check for pregnancy before being considered for inclusion
