Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 21 years old or older (21 is the legal age of majority in Puerto Rico)
- You identify as Latino/Hispanic
- For interviews (Sub-Aim 1a): You work or have a role in one of these areas: a community organization related to cancer care, providing healthcare to cancer patients or survivors, or cancer health education — and you are able to complete an interview
- For community forums (Aim 2): You are a cancer patient or survivor, a family caregiver of a cancer patient or survivor, a healthcare provider, or part of a cancer support or advocacy group — and you are able to attend the forum sessions
- For community health worker training: You live in a limited-resource community in southern Puerto Rico and are able to provide support through a community health worker role
- For the main intervention: You live in one of the named municipalities in southern Puerto Rico (Ponce, Arroyo, Coamo, Yauco, Salinas, Guanica, Guayanilla, Juana Diaz, Adjuntas, Guayama, Patillas, Santa Isabel, Penuelas, or Villalba), live in a limited-resource community as defined by the CDC Social Vulnerability Index, and were diagnosed with cancer as an adult
Who may not be able to join:
- You live outside the southern Puerto Rico catchment area covered by this study
