Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People scheduled for major spine surgery involving at least one level of spinal fusion, with a hospital stay of at least one night
- People whose spine surgery is planned at least 4 weeks in advance
- People currently taking a daily opioid pain medication dose equivalent to between 40 and 200 mg of oral morphine
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to use a computer or tablet for video or online medical appointments
- People who do not speak English
- People who are unable to complete the study assessments (confirm with trial site)
- People who screen positive for suicide risk on a standard safety questionnaire called the Columbia Suicide Screening Assessment
