Who might be able to join this trial:

For the person with mild cognitive impairment or mild neurocognitive disorder (memory/thinking difficulties):

  • Adults aged 18 or older
  • Scored between 21 and 27 on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)
  • Able to hold a conversation in English

For the care partner (the support person):

  • Adults aged 18 or older
  • Identifies as a care partner of someone with mild neurocognitive disorder
  • Able to hold a conversation in English
  • Scored between 28 and 30 on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)
  • Is a family member or friend (not a paid carer) of the person with the condition

Who may not be able to join:

For the person with mild cognitive impairment or mild neurocognitive disorder:

  • People who are currently taking part in another program aimed at reducing anxiety or depression related to their dementia
  • People who scored 28 or above, or lower than 21, on the standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)

For the care partner:

  • People who scored lower than 28 on the standard memory and thinking test (MMSE)
  • People who are paid professionally to provide care (formal/paid caregivers)
