Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 19 years of age or older.
- You are able to carry out daily activities, with or without some limitations (your doctor will assess your general fitness level using a standard scale).
- You have been diagnosed with a specific type of pancreatic cancer called pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, confirmed by a tissue sample test.
- Your cancer is classified as either borderline removable by surgery, confined to the local area but not removable, or has spread to no more than 3 spots in the body.
- You have already completed at least 2 to 4 rounds of a standard first-line chemotherapy treatment, and your cancer has not spread further to distant parts of the body during that time.
- You have a tumor area that the study doctor believes can be safely treated with radiation therapy, and your disease can be measured using standard imaging guidelines.
- You are able to understand what the study involves and are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Your cancer has spread to the brain or the lining surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
- You have previously received radiation therapy to the same area of the body that would be treated in this trial.
- You have serious ongoing health conditions that could make it unsafe to participate, such as an uncontrolled infection, serious heart failure, a significant heart rhythm problem, or severe mental illness (confirm with trial site).
- The study team has concerns that you may not be able to follow the study procedures or attend the required follow-up appointments.
- For any other reason, the lead doctor feels that joining this trial would not be appropriate for you (confirm with trial site).
