  • People aged 45–74 (male) or 40–74 (female) who have a parent, brother, sister, or child who has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

  • People who are unable to hold their breath or otherwise complete the scan as required.
  • People who have coughed up blood in the past month for an unknown reason.
  • People whose chest X-ray in the past month showed suspicious spots or growths in the lungs.
  • People who have lost more than 6 kg in weight over the past year without a known explanation.
  • People who have had a diagnosis of lung cancer within the past three years.
  • People who have another serious illness where life expectancy is estimated to be less than 5 years.
