Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older, of any gender
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (confirmed by a tissue sample) that has come back or spread to other parts of the body
- People whose doctors consider them suitable to receive radiation therapy combined with standard chemotherapy, with or without a type of cancer medication that works with the immune system (called a PD-1 inhibitor)
- People who are expected to live for more than 6 months
- People (or their legal guardian or representative) who are willing to sign a consent form showing they understand and agree to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who had a blood transfusion during surgery or within 2 weeks before surgery
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or capable of becoming pregnant and not using adequate contraception
- People who have been diagnosed with another type of cancer in the past 5 years, except for certain skin cancers (non-melanoma) or cervical cancer in situ that have been fully cured
- People who have brain tumours or cancer that has spread to the brain or central nervous system and is not well controlled, especially if there is significant pressure in the skull or related symptoms
- People who have serious or poorly controlled health conditions, including: a significant heart problem within the past 6 months (such as a heart attack, heart failure, unstable chest pain, fluid around the heart, or irregular heartbeat); a confirmed serious neurological or psychiatric condition such as dementia or seizures; a severe or uncontrolled infection; or an active blood-clotting disorder with significant bleeding
- People with significant loss of function in a major organ (confirm with trial site)
- People whose doctor believes, for any other reason, that participation in this trial would not be appropriate
