Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years old or older and have been diagnosed with advanced Parkinson's disease that responds to a medication called levodopa
- Your doctor must have already decided to prescribe you a specific medication called foslevodopa/foscarbidopa given under the skin as an infusion, as part of your normal care — this decision must be made before you are asked to join the study
- You must score 24 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test (called the MMSE), showing you are able to follow the study procedures
- Your Parkinson's disease must involve significant problems with movement, such as unpredictable "on/off" periods, uncontrolled movements, or involuntary movements, after other Parkinson's medications have not worked well enough
- If you have moderate to severe sleep apnea (a condition where breathing repeatedly stops during sleep), you may still be eligible if you are successfully using a CPAP machine (at least 4 hours per night, at least 70% of nights in the past month) or a special mouth device, and your sleep apnea is now well controlled (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You cannot join if there is a medical reason why the foslevodopa/foscarbidopa infusion medication is not safe for you to take, based on the official prescribing guidelines
- You cannot join if you are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves a treatment or medical procedure being tested on participants
