Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive), of any gender, who are able to sign a consent form
- People who are largely able to carry out daily activities with little or no restriction (a doctor will assess this using a standard scale called ECOG, with a score of 0 or 1)
- People who are expected to live for 12 weeks or longer
- People who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that cannot be surgically removed and has either spread locally or to other parts of the body, confirmed by laboratory analysis of tissue samples showing a specific type called pancreatic duct adenocarcinoma
- People who are able to provide tumour tissue samples — either stored samples from within the past 3 years or newly collected samples (newly collected samples are preferred)
- People who have at least one tumour that can be measured using standard imaging criteria (known as RECIST 1.1)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and has not yet been treated, or where that spread is still considered active
- People who have not recovered sufficiently from side effects or complications of previous treatments (confirm with trial site for the specific recovery level required)
- People who are known or suspected to have a lung condition involving inflammation or scarring of lung tissue (interstitial pneumonia)
- People who have a significant build-up of fluid in body cavities — such as the abdomen — rated at a certain severity level, or where imaging shows a large amount of abdominal fluid, particularly if a draining procedure was needed in the two weeks before starting the trial (people with only a small, symptom-free amount of fluid shown on imaging may still be considered — confirm with trial site)
- People who have clinically significant acute or chronic inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis)
