Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older, of any sex
- People who have been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- People who have had one or more diabetic foot ulcers on the sole of the foot in the past
- People whose foot ulcer has fully healed for at least 6 weeks before joining, as confirmed by a specialist healthcare provider
- People who have diabetic nerve damage in their feet, shown by being unable to feel a soft touch test (using a 10g monofilament) at two points on the foot, or by having a reduced ability to feel vibration above a certain level (confirm with trial site)
- People who have at least one detectable pulse in the foot
Who may not be able to join:
- People who currently have an open or active foot ulcer
- People who have an active condition called Charcot neuro-osteoarthropathy, which is a type of serious bone and joint problem in the foot related to nerve damage
- People with severe blood vessel disease, meaning no foot pulses can be detected at all
- People who have had an amputation of the lower limb or foot beyond the base of the toe joints
- People who currently have an active cancer or a condition that affects the immune system
- People whose physical or mental health condition makes it difficult to follow the study instructions without assistance, as assessed by their doctor
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving a medical device that conflicts with this study's procedures or outcomes
