Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between 20 and 80 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) based on their symptoms and a nerve conduction test
- People whose pain or tingling/numbness rates at 3 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10
- People who have had symptoms for at least 3 months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a history of nerve damage affecting multiple nerves throughout the body, thoracic outlet syndrome (nerve or blood vessel compression near the shoulder), brachial plexopathy (nerve damage in the shoulder/arm network), or inflammatory joint disease
- People whose carpal tunnel syndrome started during pregnancy, as a result of an underactive thyroid, or during a widespread infection in the body
- People who have previously had a corticosteroid (steroid) injection or wrist surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome
- People who have a known sensitivity or allergic reaction to dextrose (a sugar solution used in injections)
- People whose wrist anatomy is not considered suitable for a needle-based release procedure on the carpal tunnel ligament (confirm with trial site)
