• The mother already has an extensive existing mindfulness practice
• The mother has had surgery on her breast or chest
• The mother has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition
• The mother is currently using illegal substances
• The mother has been diagnosed with a current severe mental health condition
• The pregnancy and delivery involved twins or more babies (multiple birth)
