Who may be able to join
- Adults aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and are planned to receive a full course of radiation therapy as their main treatment.
- People who previously had successful radiation therapy for lung cancer and have since developed a new, separate lung cancer that is planned to be treated with radiation therapy.
- People with a newly diagnosed lung cancer planned for radiation therapy who also have lung changes caused by existing health conditions, such as advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, stage 3 or higher).
Who may not be able to join

- People under 18 years of age.
- People who are known to be pregnant, or who test positive on a pregnancy test.
- People who have any known medical reason why an MRI scan would not be safe for them.
- People who have any implanted metal device in their body.
- People who are not able to give informed consent to participate.
- People who have a language barrier, communication difficulty, cognitive condition, or behavioural condition that could affect their ability to fully and informedly participate in the study.
- People with a history of organ failure that has not been stabilised through medical treatment (confirm with trial site).
- People who are experiencing homelessness or an otherwise unstable living situation.
- People with an active dependence on drugs or alcohol.
- People who experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces).
- People who weigh more than 300 pounds (approximately 136 kilograms).
- People whose chest size is too large to fit within the MRI machine used in the trial.
