Who might be able to join this trial:
For people with Parkinson's disease (PD):
- You are between 45 and 75 years old
- You have been formally diagnosed with Parkinson's disease using a recognised set of medical guidelines (UK Brain Bank Criteria)
- Your condition has been stable for at least 3 months before joining the study
- Your Parkinson's medications have not changed for at least 3 months before joining the study
For people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS):
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS (a type of MS where symptoms come and go) using recognised medical guidelines (McDonald criteria)
- Your level of disability, as measured by a standard scale, is at or below a moderate level (confirm with trial site)
- Your condition has been stable for at least 30 days before joining the study
- Your MS treatment has not changed for at least 3 months before joining the study
For all adult participants (PD and MS):
- You are willing to keep your medications unchanged throughout the 6-month study period
- You are able to understand what the study involves and complete the required tests and check-ups
- You are willing to sign a form giving your informed consent to take part
For children:
- Your condition is currently stable
- You are between 1 and 10 years old and weigh between 5 and 30 kg
- You are not currently taking part in any other clinical trial
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a medical reason why you cannot have an MRI scan
- You have another neurological condition or serious health problem that could affect the study results, such as a spinal injury, cancer, dementia, stroke, epilepsy, or a psychiatric disorder
- Your score on a standard memory and thinking test (called the MMSE) falls below a certain level (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
