  • People who have had heart surgery or a heart attack event (acute coronary syndrome) within the past 90 days
  • People who are unable to take blood-thinning medication, or whose blood-thinning medication had to be stopped due to a complication during the procedure (such as fluid around the heart)
  • People whose heart pumping strength is below a certain level — specifically, where the heart pumps out less than 35% of its blood with each beat (confirm with trial site)
  • Women who are currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study period
  • People whose life expectancy is less than one year
  • People for whom an MRI scan would carry added risk — for example, those with pacemakers or certain metal implants that are affected by MRI, or those with severe claustrophobia
