Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 20 years or older
- People of any gender
- People whose initial diagnosis (confirmed by tissue sample) is a type of rectal cancer called adenocarcinoma
- People whose doctors expect them to live at least 6 months

- People with active Crohn's disease or active ulcerative colitis
- People with other ongoing autoimmune conditions affecting the whole body
- People with a history of a physical or mental health condition that would prevent them from understanding the trial requirements, following instructions, communicating, or giving informed consent
- People with a known allergic reaction to any of the medications used in the trial
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who have had a problem with substance or alcohol dependence in the six months before the screening assessment
- People who are unlikely to be able to follow the treatment schedule, attend assessments, or complete follow-up visits
