Who may be able to join
- People who are 18 years of age or older.
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of advanced or spreading lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) of the adenocarcinoma type, which cannot be removed by surgery, confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue.
- People whose tumour has been tested for a genetic change called a KRAS mutation, with results available at the time of joining the study.
- People who have already received at least one standard treatment, whose cancer has continued to grow or spread during or after that treatment, and for whom standard treatment options have been exhausted.
- People who have at least one tumour that can be measured on scans.
- People who are in generally good physical condition and able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (confirm with trial site what this means for your situation).
- People whose liver, kidneys, and other organs are functioning well enough to meet the trial's requirements (confirm specific levels with trial site).
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People whose lung cancer is not of the adenocarcinoma type, or whose tumour is made up of more than one type of cancer cell (mixed histology).
- People whose cancer is driven by a different gene mutation — other than KRAS — for which an approved treatment exists but has not been adequately tried.
- People with a known active digestive system condition that could affect how the body absorbs medication.
- People with a serious heart condition.
- People who need to take certain medications that strongly affect the way the body processes drugs (specifically strong inhibitors or inducers of CYP3A4, P-gp, or BCRP — confirm with trial site if this applies).
- People who have brain or central nervous system tumours that are causing symptoms or have not yet been treated.
