- People who are unable to complete the full two-week exercise programme because their surgery is scheduled earlier or later than expected.
- People who experience complications after surgery that result in a stay in intensive care lasting longer than 24 hours.
- People who are unable to stop or continue the exercise programme at any point during the study.
- People who do not wish to take part in the study.
