Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a specific type of pancreatic cancer that has spread), confirmed by a tissue test, and whose tumour has a specific genetic change called KRAS G12D mutation.
  • People for whom surgery to remove the cancer or radiotherapy aimed at curing the cancer is not an option.
  • People who are willing and able to provide a sample of tumour tissue at the start of the study, meeting the study's sample requirements.
  • People who are in relatively good general health and able to carry out daily activities, as measured by a standard medical scoring system (confirm with trial site for exact score required).
  • People whose heart, liver, kidneys, and blood counts are functioning at adequate levels, based on blood tests taken within 7 days before joining the study (specific values will be checked by the trial site).
  • People who agree not to participate in another interventional clinical trial at the same time as receiving treatment in this study (people already in the follow-up phase of another trial may still be eligible).

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose pancreatic cancer is a different type, such as neuroendocrine, acinar, or squamous/adenosquamous pancreatic cancer.
  • People who have had another active cancer within the past 2 years that has required treatment, with some exceptions for certain minor skin cancers or very early-stage cancers that appear to have been fully treated.
  • People who have chronic inflammatory bowel disease, a bowel blockage, or severe diarrhoea that cannot be controlled.
  • People who have nerve damage in their hands or feet that affects their ability to function normally.
  • People who have a build-up of fluid in the abdomen or around the lungs that has needed to be drained within the 30 days before joining, or who have a permanent drainage tube in place.
  • People who have a blood clot in the lungs that is causing symptoms, or a lung blood clot that is not being treated with blood-thinning medication.
  • People who have a history of scarring or inflammation of the lung tissue.
  • People who have seizures that are not well controlled with medication.
  • People who carry a specific inherited genetic variation affecting how certain medicines are broken down in the body, known as homozygous UGT1A1 polymorphism (confirm with trial site).
  • People who have had a heart attack, unstable chest pain, or heart bypass surgery within the past 6 months, or who currently have certain uncontrolled or serious heart conditions.
  • People who have already received systemic (whole-body) treatment for their metastatic pancreatic cancer, with a limited exception for people who received no more than 2 doses of specific chemotherapy regimens during the screening period. People who had chemotherapy before their cancer spread may still be eligible if their cancer came back or progressed at least 6 months after finishing that earlier treatment.
  • People who have previously been treated with a therapy specifically targeting the KRAS G12D mutation.
  • People whose heart's electrical activity shows a specific abnormality on a heart tracing (ECG) that exceeds a set measurement threshold (confirm with trial site for exact value).
