Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People who have had symptoms for at least 12 weeks
- People who have received information about carpal tunnel syndrome from a doctor
- People who have had a positive result on a Tinel, Phalen, or carpal compression test (a standard hand/wrist test used to check for carpal tunnel syndrome)
- People whose pain level measures at least 40 out of 100 on a standard pain scale
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have any loss of feeling or movement related to the ulnar or radial nerves (the other main nerves in the arm)
- People who have had previous surgery or an injection in the wrist
- People who have had an injury to the neck, shoulder, or upper extremity (arm/hand area)
- People who are pregnant
- People who have a concurrent nerve condition affecting the neck (cervical radiculopathy) or a condition affecting multiple nerves throughout the body (polyneuropathy)
