  • People whose cancer has been assessed by a doctor as surgically removable, at Stage II to IIIB (excluding a specific spread pattern called N3), based on standard cancer staging guidelines
  • People whose cancer does not have certain genetic changes (called EGFR mutations, ALK rearrangements, or other targetable mutations) that would normally direct treatment toward a specific approved targeted therapy
  • People whose cancer tests negative for a protein called PD-L1 (measured by specific approved tests)
  • People whose general physical health is rated at a level meaning they are fully active or have only minor limitations in daily activity (confirm with trial site)
  • People whose blood counts, kidney function, liver function, and clotting measures fall within acceptable ranges when tested within 7 days before the first dose (confirm with trial site for specific values)

  • People who have taken moderate-to-high dose steroid tablets or other immune-suppressing medicines for 7 or more days in a row within the 14 days before the first dose (inhaled or skin-applied steroids, or low-dose steroids for a hormone-related condition, may be permitted — confirm with trial site)
  • People who have received a live vaccine within 28 days before the first dose
  • People who currently have, or have previously had, a lung inflammation condition called interstitial pneumonia that required steroid treatment
  • People with an active autoimmune disease or a history of autoimmune disease, with some exceptions such as well-controlled Type 1 diabetes, stable thyroid underactivity managed with hormone replacement, or mild skin conditions not requiring systemic treatment (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have had another cancer within the 5 years before the first dose, unless a doctor has assessed it as fully cured
  • People with certain uncontrolled health conditions, including: active hepatitis B or C infection at certain levels; known HIV or a history of AIDS; active tuberculosis; a serious infection requiring antibiotic treatment for more than 7 days within the past 28 days; significant heart or blood vessel disease such as a recent stroke, heart attack, unstable chest pain, serious heart failure, or a heart rhythm problem; or significant protein in the urine
