Who may be able to join
- Adults between 18 and 75 years of age
- People of Chinese ethnicity
- People who have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (a type of inflammatory bowel disease affecting the large intestine) with mild to moderate disease activity, as measured by a specific scoring tool called the SCCAI, with a score between 3 and 5

- People with serious other health conditions or a weakened immune system
- People currently known to have sepsis (a serious and life-threatening response to infection)
- People who have used antibiotics, probiotics, or prebiotics within the past 4 weeks
- People who are known to be pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with a known allergy or intolerance to any components used in the study
- People who are unable to swallow or take in fluids by mouth
- People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial within the past 30 days
