Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been taking the medication sulfasalazine for at least 2 months before joining the trial
- People who have been diagnosed with an inflammatory arthritis condition, such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, Axial Spondyloarthritis, Psoriatic Spondylitis, or Juvenile Arthritis
- People who either have a blood sugar (HbA1c) result at or above a certain level (measured at least 2 months after starting sulfasalazine), OR who have been diagnosed with any form of diabetes (including Type 1, Type 2, or other forms) (confirm with trial site for exact HbA1c threshold)
- People who are able to communicate in Danish
- People who are willing to give their consent to participate, including agreeing to have their blood sugar monitoring data and a study ID uploaded to an online data platform called Libreview
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have received steroid (glucocorticoid) treatments — either taken by mouth/injection throughout the body, or as a local injection — within the past 2 months, or who have such treatment planned within the next 4 weeks
- People who have medical conditions (other than sulfasalazine use) that could affect how accurately their HbA1c blood sugar result is interpreted — for example, people taking a medication called Dapsone (confirm with trial site for other relevant conditions)
- People who have an allergy to the adhesive material used in the continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) skin sensor device used in the trial
- People who the trial team considers unsuitable to participate for other reasons, such as those who are unable to make their own decisions, or those with a serious illness such as cancer or a terminal condition
