Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must be able to understand and agree to take part in the study by giving your consent
- You must have had a scan or procedure in the past 12 months (such as a coronary angiogram or a special CT heart scan) that confirmed a diagnosis of significant narrowing in your heart's arteries (more than 50% blocked, or a pressure test result below 0.8), or a certain type of heart attack caused by a buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries
- You may be enrolled during a clinic visit, a heart procedure, or a hospital stay, or you may be contacted if you were previously diagnosed within the last 12 months
Who may not be able to join:
- You are older than 75 years of age
- You have a significant heart valve problem that has already been treated, or you need heart valve surgery or a procedure within the next three months
- You have been diagnosed with a serious nerve or muscle disease such as ALS, myositis, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease, or you have been found to have significant memory or thinking difficulties (confirm with trial site)
- You have a known learning or developmental disability that affects your legal ability to sign a consent form
- You have a serious or active cancer where a doctor estimates your life expectancy may be less than one year
- You are unable to give written consent for any other reason
- You have another significant heart condition that is strongly linked to a risk of life-threatening irregular heartbeats, such as certain inherited or structural heart conditions (confirm with trial site)
- You have another heart condition where life expectancy is estimated to be less than one year
- You currently have a Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) order in place for any reason
- You have previously had, or are planned to have, a heart, kidney, or liver transplant
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves an active treatment
