Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, confirmed by a lab test on a tissue sample
• Your cancer can be measured on a scan using standard medical guidelines
• Surgery or radiation to cure your cancer is not an option for you
• Your cancer got worse during, or you could not tolerate, a first chemotherapy treatment containing a drug called oxaliplatin, or your cancer came back within 6 months of finishing oxaliplatin treatment
• Your doctor considers you healthy enough to receive a standard chemotherapy combination called FOLFIRI plus bevacizumab
• Your tumor has been tested and does not have a feature called "microsatellite instability high" or "mismatch repair deficient" (confirm with trial site if unsure what this means)
• Your tumor has been tested and has a specific gene change called a RAS mutation
• You are reasonably active and able to carry out daily activities, based on a standard doctor's assessment scale (score of 0 or 1)
• Your blood, kidney, and liver results are at acceptable levels
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test
• You are expected to live for at least 6 months

Who may not be able to join:

• You have had chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery within the last 4 weeks before starting the trial
• You are still experiencing significant side effects (grade 2 or higher) from a previous cancer treatment
• You have previously been treated with a chemotherapy drug called irinotecan
• You have brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain) that are causing symptoms
• You have an active autoimmune disease (a condition where your immune system attacks your own body)
• You are currently taking medications that suppress your immune system or affect your bone marrow
• You have an active infection that is not under control
• You have HIV, or active hepatitis B or C that currently requires antiviral medication
• You have had another type of cancer in the last 3 years, unless it was a certain type of skin cancer, early-stage prostate cancer, or a fully treated form of cervical cancer
• You have had an allergic reaction or are known to be sensitive to any of the medications used in this trial
• You have serious heart disease that is not well controlled
• You have received any vaccine in the 28 days before starting the trial
